Translations work again since 06:38 UTC. This was one outage, from about 00:30 to 06:38 UTC. The "recovered" updates above were wrong: translations failed the whole time.
What happened: our hosting provider, Railway, reported a security incident on October 21 (https://blog.railway.com/p/security-disclosure-wednesday-october-21st). As a precaution, our AI provider disabled the API key that BabelBot uses to translate. BabelBot could not translate messages, and bridges sent the original message without a translation.
What we did: we put in a new API key. Failed translations did not use any of your server's translation quota.
What you can do: if a message did not get a translation, send it again.
